Welcome to my homepage. My name is Dr Raman Gaikwad and I am an Infectious Diseases Physician practising in Pune. My work focuses on the diagnosis and management of complex and serious infections, including HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis (including drug-resistant TB), infections in critically ill patients, severe community-acquired infections (such as influenza, dengue, and malaria), and infections in immunosuppressed individuals, including patients with cancer and transplant recipients.

I completed my training in internal medicine at Seth G S Medical College / KEM Hospital, Mumbai, followed by a post-doctoral fellowship in infectious diseases at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai. Since 2015, I have practised as a consultant in infectious diseases at Sahyadri Hospitals, Deccan Gymkhana, Pune, where I work closely with colleagues across specialities to manage patients with complicated and hard-to-treat infections.
